Primary Eyecare (Shrops & Staffs Ltd): Finance Lead Required- 26/03/2015

Primary Eyecare (Shropshire & Staffordshire) Ltd (SAS PEC), having appointed a Board of Directors and Clinical Governance & Performance Leads for all Staffordshire community eyecare services, is now in a position to appoint a Finance Lead (FL).  Any Staffordshire optometrist or dispensing optician is welcome to apply; the successful applicant does not have to be an LOC member.

The Finance Lead will be required to complete a small amount of distance-learning training, consisting of two online videos (LOCSU LOC Company Finance Leads Training Part 1 and Part 2).  Each video lasts no more than 5-7 minutes.  The videos explain the use of the OptoPay IT support, invoicing to CCGs, subcontractor invoicing, managing the LOC company accounts and other FL responsibilities.

Management accounts will need to be prepared monthly by the FL and presented to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.

With the launch of Glaucoma Referral Refinement, Paediatrics and PEATS services imminent in South Staffordshire, and the prospect of the recommissioning of North Staffordshire eye care pathways via the LOC company model, the need for a Financial Lead has never been more important or urgent.  SAS PEC asks you all to give this opportunity your serious consideration – this is a really good way to serve the optical professions locally and help in the consolidation and expansion of our community eye care services.
