Glaucoma OSCEs and Taster Events- 20/11/2014

On Thursday 11th December 2014, the Wales Optometry Postgraduate Education Centre (WOPEC) will be running a LOCSU Glaucoma OSCEs assessment for optometrists based in Stafford and Surrounds and Cannock Chase CCG areas at Specsavers Opticians in Stafford, commencing at 6pm.

In order to help optometrists prepare for the OSCEs, Staffordshire LOC is organising an OSCEs "Taster Event" on Thursday 27th November 2014 at Webb & Lucas Optometrists in Stafford at 6pm. At this event, optometrists will receive guidance on OSCE stations and will get hands-on experience of using Goldmann, and be able to practise looking into a model eye using a Volk lens.  Optometrists will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions about the new expanded glaucoma pathway for Stafford and Cannock, due to be commissioned in January 2015.

Any optometrists intending to book on to the Glaucoma OSCEs event on 11th December are strongly advised by the LOC to consider attending the Taster Event on 27th November.
